The Royal Institute of British Architects follow a stage plan through the design and construction process that translates very well into garden design.
Stage 1: We start the process with a chat.
It’s important that I understand exactly what you are hoping to get out of your garden. I will then carry out a site survey and site analysis.

Stage 1: We start the process with a chat.
It’s important that I understand exactly what you are hoping to get out of your garden. I will then carry out a site survey and site analysis.
Stage 2:Next comes the concept plan where ideas start to come to life. We will meet to discuss the plans and you will have a chance to make comments and a round of changes.
Stage 3: Once those are drawn up and agreed we can move to the working plan and material specifications.
Stage 4: The final stage is the construction details, planting plan and bill of quantities.
At this point you will have enough information to appoint your preferred landscaper to carry out the works (Stage 5)

I am an award winning architect with over 20 years experience in the residential and education sectors. I lead architectural design teams and advise on landscaping for schools. I have always been interested in the connection between inside and out and the impact that a space can have on your mental health and well-being.

I have always been interested in the connection between inside and out and the impact that a space can have on your mental health and well-being.
Since moving out of London with my husband and three children I have embarked on a post graduate diploma in garden design and have completely fallen in love! I will use my years of design skills to work with you and come up with a design that suits your individual needs, whether it’s a space for family, entertaining, relaxing or a little of everything.
